How I Took MNAR Online – From Brand to Digital Store
Every project has a story. MNAR was originally my friend's clothing brand — known locally for its unique style and quality. My role was to give it a strong, stylish, and seamless online presence, turning it into a modern eCommerce platform that could reach customers anywhere.
Step 1 – The Spark
"Why not take MNAR online and open it to the world?"
The brand already had great products, but no digital store. I wanted to create a premium online space that matched MNAR’s identity, with an intuitive interface and lightning-fast performance.
Step 2 – Choosing the Tech Stack
For MNAR’s online store, I went with a MERN stack:
Technology | Purpose |
---|---|
React.js | Dynamic, responsive front-end |
Node.js + Express.js | Backend logic & API routes |
MongoDB | Flexible database for products, users, orders |
Vercel Hosting | Quick deployments & global CDN |
Step 3 – Designing the Experience
- Minimal yet bold UI to reflect the brand
- Wireframes for Home, Product, Cart, and Checkout pages
- Clean color palette & typography
- Responsive layouts for mobile & desktop
Step 4 – Building the Frontend
With React.js, I built reusable components for:
- Navigation bar & footer
- Product cards & detail pages
- Cart management
- User authentication
Used React Router for smooth, app-like navigation.
Step 5 – Powering the Backend
The backend, built with Node.js + Express.js, handled:
- JWT-based user authentication
- Product management (CRUD APIs)
- Order processing
- Payment gateway integration
Connected it to MongoDB Atlas for secure, scalable storage.
Step 6 – Adding Payment Integration
No eCommerce site is complete without secure payments.
I integrated Razorpay to allow customers to pay via cards, UPI, or wallets.
Step 7 – Deployment
- Frontend: Vercel
- Backend: Render / Railway (for APIs)
This ensured a global, fast, and reliable shopping experience.
Step 8 – The Launch
After rigorous testing (and fixing some late-night bugs), MNAR went live.
Seeing the first order from the online store felt like a milestone — it meant MNAR had stepped into the digital world.
Step 9 – What’s Next
- Introducing MNAR Coins for loyalty rewards
- Expanding the product catalog
- Enhancing mobile-first shopping features
Final Thoughts
Taking MNAR online taught me more than just building an eCommerce site — it taught me how technology can amplify a brand’s reach and identity.
If you have a great brand, don’t limit it to offline. The world is waiting online.
